Valorant Patch 4.02 Brings Minor Fixes But Has No Agent Updates

0

Riot has dropped Patch 4.02, which usually makes players nervous cause of any character or weapon nerfing, but fear not for there isn’t a significant, game-altering change to note.

The new update patch focuses on relatively minor issues related to the features and cosmetics of the game, with a significant improvement in detecting AFK behavior amongst players.

Performance Updates

Riot has improved the latency for the ‘Windowed Fullscreen’ mode to match closer to the ‘Fullscreen Exclusive’ mode. You will not face any disruption from using in-game overlays. However, having other windows open on top of the game window will negate these benefits.

Agent Fixes

A persistent issue was reported where Killjoy could not retrieve her Alarmbot or Turret after dying and being revived by Sage. The issue has been fixed, so KJ mains can now heave a sigh of relief.

Social Updates

Riot has improved their AFK detection behavior to track non-participating players to ensure a smoother experience for their users. Riot also mentioned that if your Agent-selecting process is being disrupted by other players, you can always right-click on their profile and report them for their unsportsman-like behavior.

Cosmetic Fixes

There was a bug where the pulsing FX around the Spectrum Z logo was appearing next to the trigger during second inspect animation on the Bulldog weapon. This has now been fixed.

Other Issues

Riot also acknowledged a known issue surrounding an ability that occurs during esports tournaments, where the Observer followers cannot see or track the Projectile Follow when Agents use their abilities. This issue is still under development and they are looking for a fix. However, it could not be fixed in this patch. Perhaps we shall see this fixed in the next patch.
