Valorant Patch 4.03 Makes Significant Changes to Deathmatch Mode

0

Riot Games has finally made changes to Deathmatch in Patch 4.03 that should improve the overall experience and enable players to actually learn core gameplay mechanics and warm up with ease for Competitive matches. Valorant players can soon enjoy multiple much-needed Deathmatch updates that will encourage more players to use the mode to warm up in the new patch update.

According to the patch notes, Riot has made the following changes to Deathmatch:

Patch 4.03 will remove or relocate “dangerous” spawn locations in Deathmatch to help prevent players from dying immediately after spawning. The spawn logic and placement have also been improved upon.

The “spawning logic will now favor respawn locations farther away from where you are defeated,” according to the dev team over at Riot. The respawn time has also been reduced from three seconds to one and a half seconds instead, meaning you’ll be able to jump back into the action twice as fast.

The addition of a shorter respawn time drastically improves the pace of the game and many players hope to see custom Deathmatch maps in the future to further improve their warmup experiences and to add to the challenges.

Players will be able to try out the new Deathmatch changes and everything else coming in Patch 4.03 when the update goes live. Riot is bringing a lot of significant changes to Valorant in this new patch, with changes to the maps and the addition of The Night Market for players to score some sweet skins.

The most significant all of these updates is especially the rework of Yoru, which you can read IGN’S coverage about here. Riot’s rework intends for Yoru to see the battlefield unhindered, allowing him to enter enemy zones, take in the state of the map and strategize a play— to work around Yoru’s upgrade that allows users to utilize his abilities during his Ult. It remains to be seen whether these changes can really affect his abysmally low pick rate and miserable performance in the eyes of most players.
