When it comes to choosing Controller Agents in Riot Games’ hit FPS title Valorant, players will rarely choose Omen even though it has gained a lot of popularity as they might prefer to use Viper or even Astra.

However, a Reddit user on the r/VALORANT subreddit has found the perfect way to buff the Agent without causing a drastic shift in the meta by slightly upgrading its smokes in the game.

With Omen’s Dark Cover ability, players can cast a shadow orb on any location. The dark purple shadow sphere blocks the vision of everyone present inside it. However, the large sphere has its certain advantages for enemies to use as well.

Valorant fans, including the Redditor, have long claimed that Omen users are playing with a disadvantage when they have to use a smoke as the Dark Cover’s considerably large sphere allows enemies to hide inside them.

As the inside of the sphere is quite clear, opponents can easily stay hidden in the smoke until it dissipates. Along with that, it also provides them with opportunities to take cover in important situations like plant spikes and many more.

The Redditor noted that the smokes desperately needed to be improved by Riot Games and they even had a solution for it as well. In their post, the fan suggested that Riot Games should add a deafen buff as well, which prevents players from properly listening to their surroundings.

The post noted that the developers can muffle the audio a but instead of completely defeaning a certain section of the map like Astra’s Cosmic Divide. Additionally, the muffled sound will increase in intensity as players continue to stay inside the sound for a longer time.

To provide a minor advantage to the Omen user, the Redditor recommended that the deafening effect shouldn’t affect the Controller at all.

With these changes, the Omen will definitely be much more powerful as many fans on the commented about how this tweak in the ability can help this Controller Agent to be more popular to play with in Valorant, and with the recent release of Episode 4 Act 1, Riot Games might want to go over this idea for a future update.
