Vivo was supposed to launch its new smartphone – the T2 5G – on May 23, in China. However, the company has now postponed its launch to next month. Vivo took to Weibo to announce the date for the upcoming launch, which is now happening in June.
Vivo says due to unforeseen circumstances in China, the launch of T2 5G in the country has been postponed to June 6 at 7 PM local time. It is believed that the company postponed the launch event due to the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Vivo T2 5G is rumoured to be a rebranded iQoo Neo 6 SE, recently launched in China, so we can expect both smartphones to share similar specifications. The iQoo Neo 6 SE comes with a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 870 chipset, and a 64MP triple camera setup.
The T2 5G was recently listed on the Chinese e-commerce website JD.com, revealing the smartphone’s key specifications. As per the product page, the T2 5G would come with an E4 AMOLED panel having a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, it might come with the Snapdragon 870 chipset. Further, the upcoming smartphone is said to feature a 64MP primary camera with OIS. Also, expect the Vivo T2 to come with support for 80W fast charging. The smartphone is expected to boast a 4700mAh battery. It might run OriginOS on top of Android 12 out-of-the-box.
