Vivo X21 with Snapdragon 660 SoC and 6GB RAM Goes Official
Vivo has today launched its latest flagship smartphone dubbed as Vivo X21 in China. The smartphone was launched in two variants – Vivo X21 and Vivo X21 UD. The regular variant comes with the traditional fingerprint sensor at the back of the device while the UD variant comes with an under display fingerprint sensor similar to the recently launched Vivo X20 Plus UD. The only difference in both the variants is the placement of fingerprint scanner, rest of the specifications remains same.
Vivo X21 Pricing and Availablity
The Vivo X21 comes with the price tag of 2898 Yuan ($458/ Rs. 29,870 approx.) for 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at 3198 Yuan ($505/ Rs. 32,960 approx.). The Vivo X21 UD comes with the price tag of 3598 Yuan ($568/ Rs. 37,085 approx.)
The Vivo X21 will be available in Aurora White, Drill Black, and Ruby Red colour options, while the Vivo X21 UD is available in Drill Black and Ruby Red colour options. The standard version will be available from March 24th and the in-display fingerprint sensor version will be available from March 28th
Vivo X21 Specifications
The Vivo X21 runs on FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It features a 6.28” Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) 19:9 Super AMOLED display with 90.3% screen-to-body ratio and an iPhone X-like notch on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. As mentioned above, it offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB /128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Vivo X21 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, Samsung 2L9 sensor with Dual Pixel technology and a 5Mp secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It has AI scene recognition that can automatically detect 17 scenes. On the front, it has a 12Mp camera with f/2.0 aperture; it comes with artificial intelligence and Vivo’s own Rubiks Cube technology.
The Vivo X21 is fueled by a 3,200mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual-band Wi-Fi (2X2MIMO), Bluetooth v5, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip, and micro USB port. The phone also supports face unlock feature. One of the interesting offerings of the phone is a smart assistant. The company has introduced Jovi, which is Vivo’s assistant based on artificial intelligence technology. For enhanced audio experience, Vivo has included AK4376A Hi-Fi chip. It measures 154.45 × 74.78 × 7.37mm and weight: 156.2 grams.
