House Hunting
Happy Saturday, my friends, and welcome to Whatcha Been Playing?
Do you like your home? I’m not a fan of my home. While I’m very fortunate to have a roof over my head at all, (a privilege I do not take for granted), I do, unfortunately, live in a neighborhood that grows increasingly loud, dangerous, and messy. While this generally keeps me living in a state of perpetual anxiety, the last few weeks have been a nightmare, forcing me to finally move on to new dwellings.
Looking for a new home is a tough gig. Rent is ridiculously overpriced, and although I found a “perfect” house, it was snatched out from under me. It was no Amityville house, it was no Obayashi’s House, it wasn’t even the Last House on the Left, but it coulda been my house. Oh well, the hunt continues.
When I do move house, be sure to stop by for cake. You bring the cake. And maybe the house.
I didn’t get the opportunity to play much of anything this particular week, let alone anything new. Nobody gives me anything new. Maybe I’m not good enough. Maybe I’m Just Too Real. I continue to battle out of hell in the excellent Hades. I also wait with extremely bated breath for the coming of my beloved samurai babe Baiken, who soon brings her sword-swinging antics to the world of Guilty Gear Strive. The best gaming news this week was the surprise arrival of SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash. And at a mere eight bucks, I suggest Switch users bag it. It’s a perfect “bedtime game.”
