Marvel Studios recently released Episode 2 of Ms. Marvel, which introduced us to Kamran, the mysterious High school senior who instantly creates a romantic bond with Kamala. Both the characters bond over their interest in Bollywood and Shah Rukh Khan; however, there’s more to Kamran than we know.
At the end of the episode, Kamala tries to save a child using her powers. Of course, she does it while wearing her AvengerCon costume, so no one recognizes her. However, things go out of hand when the US Department of Damage Control sends drones after the teenage superhero. Fortunately, Kamran arrives on the scene with his fancy car to save Kamala. At this point, the show also introduces us to Kamran’s mother, who apparently has been waiting a very long time to meet Kamala.

Clearly, Kamran and his mother, who goes by the name Bushra in comics, already knew about Kamala’s powers. Also, the fact that they saved the teenager, Kamran and Bushra might be an ally of Kamala, at least for now.
In Ms. Marvel comics, Kamran unlocked his Inhuman potential after exposure to the Terrigen Mist. In fact, Kamala and Kamran’s family lived close to each other when he was five years old. However, his family had to move to Texas, where Kamran focused on his studies and got accepted into MIT. Later, Kamran moved back to Jersey City, where he became a Nuhuman (Humans with Inhuman gene) before reuniting with Kamala. One night, Kamran learns that Kamala is, in fact, Ms. Marvel, so he goes ahead to reveal his Nuhuman form.
In the comics, Kamran can create bluish-white energy, which he uses to explode objects. However, Disney Plus’ Ms. Marvel has yet to reveal Kamran’s power. We already know that Ms. Marvel’s powers in the show are quite different from what we’ve seen in the comics, so there’s a chance that Marvel Studios might take a similar approach with Kamran.
