Xiaomi on Tuesday held an event in New Delhi and launch Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone in India. The Mi A1 is developed in collaboration with Google; the Xiaomi Mi A1 is the first Android One smartphone from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer.
The Mi A1 priced at Rs 14,999 and it will be available exclusively from Flipkart and company’s official site starting from September 12, 2017, at 12:00 noon. It will also be available via offline stores including Mi Homes and other third party stores from the same date as well. The smartphone will be made available in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colour options. With the launch offer Airtel customers will get additional 300GB of 4G data.
The A1 stands for Android one, this means users will get the latest security updates and it also protected with Google Play Protect. Xiaomi also reveals that it will be the first device to come with upcoming Android P version. Further more Google says that Xiaomi Mi A1 will get Android 8.0 Oreo update within 2017. The phone will be optimized for Google services like Google Assistant and free unlimited high-quality storage for Google Photos.
Design and configuration wise, the Mi A1 is almost identical to recently launched Xiaomi Mi 5X. The device sports a metallic Aluminum built unibody design with curved Antenna bands. 2.5D curved glass on the front and a finger print scanner at the back.
Coming on specifications, the Xiaomi Mi A1 runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system and sports 5.5” full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The Device offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The biggest highlight of the smartphone is dual rare camera setup with a combination of two 12MP sensors; one is wide-angle lens with 1.25-micron pixel sensor and f/2.2 aperture, and the other is a telephoto lens with 1-micron pixel sensor, an f/2.6 aperture. The smartphone supports 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. The smartphone also comes with comes with stereoscopic imaging and deep learning algorithm to deliver impressive portrait shots with depth of field and Bokeh effects.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 is fueled by a 3080mAh battery; connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board the Xioami M A1 include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, infrared, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. It comes with dual graphite sheet, which decreases the temperature by 2-degree. On the audio front, it features with 10V smart PA, DHS Audio Calibration Algorithm, and support for high impedance headphones. The measures at 155.4×75.8×7.3mm and weighs 168 grams.
