Its been a while to see an Android One phone by Xiaomi after its Mi A1 and Mi A2 smartphones. But now, it looks like Xiaomi has been working on to release a bunch of new Android One smartphone later this year. According to a report by XDA Developers, there are at least three phones running under the development and are up for hardware testing running on Android One.
These three phones are codenamed as “pyxis”, “bamboo_sprout”, and “cosmos_sprout”. Out of these three, two phones have suffix “sprout” which is commonly seen in Android One phones while the last one may be the Chinese version of one of these phones.
According to the report of XDA, unlike Mi A1 and Mi A2 which comes with a physical fingerprint sensor mounted at the back panel, these phones will be coming with an in-display fingerprint scanner like most of the modern generation phones. They also suggest that these phones will be coming with a 32-megapixel front camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning technology.
These specifications are still under suspense but will soon be confirmed in the coming weeks.
