After the announcement of Redmi as a separate brand, Xiaomi has today launched its latest smartphone under Redmi brand dubbed as Redmi Note 7, in China. The main highlights of the smartphone include a dual rear camera setup with 48MP main camera and water drop notch display. The company is also offering 18 months warranty for the Redmi Note 7.
Redmi Note 7 comes with the price tag of Yuan 999($147/ Rs. 10377 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, Yuan 1199($176/ Rs. 12454 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage option and the top-end 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant costs at Yuan 1399($206/ Rs. 14531 approx.). The smartphone will be available to purchase starting January 14 in China. It will be available in Blue, Gold, and Twilight Black color options.
Redmi Note 7 runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie operating system. It sports a 6.3” Full-HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) 19.5:9 display with waterdrop notch on top. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU. It offers 3GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB/6GB RAM options with 64GB of internal storage.
For photography, the Redmi Note 7 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 48MP primary Samsung GM1 sensor with f/1.8 and a 5MP secondary camera. On the front, it has a 13MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The AI features on camera offers features like auto scene detection, AI portrait mode, and AI beauty mode.
The Redmi Note 7 is fuelled by a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0 support. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.
