Deepak Nitrite share price: Deepak Nitrite shares slip 5% after fire breaks out at Vadodara plant

NEW DELHI: Shares of Deepak Nitrite on Friday took a beating, falling 5 per cent in trade after the company reported a fire incident at its Vadodara manufacturing site.

In an update on stock exchanges, the company post market hours on Thursday said the fire broke out around the warehouse section of its manufacturing site located at Nandesari, District of Vadodara, Gujarat.

The incident occurred at around 6 pm and the company’s emergency response team, with the support of local authorities, brought the fire under control within a couple of hours.



Following the report, the stock fell 5 per cent to hit a low of Rs 1,940 in Friday’s trade.

Deepak Nitrite said there has been no casualty and a few people are being given first aid treatment, adding that the company has kept all concerned authorities informed and the Plant operations are expected to resume in a day or two upon clearance of the damaged warehouse.

“The cause of the fire is being investigated and the company is committed to extending all assistance to the relevant authorities investigating this matter,” it said.
