A Big Adventure, Meet Your Maker

April is almost upon us, which means PS Plus Essential tier subscribers will have a new short-list of free games to try out, and as usual, the games have leaked ahead of time. These leaks come courtesy of Billbil-kun, who has a pretty much perfect record when it comes to revealing PS Plus titles. In April, subscribers can look forward to the underrated 3D platformer Sackboy: A Big Adventure, the latest release from Dead by Daylight devs Behaviour Interactive, Meet Your Maker, and the stylish fuzzy animal RPG Tails of Iron.

Here’s a bit more detail on the upcoming PS Plus Essential titles…

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

From Wccftech’s review – “Sumo Digital’s take on the Little Big Planet mascot has given this iconic character A Big Adventure that’s among the best of PlayStation 5’s launch titles. It’s easily accessible, full of pure joy, and even a decent platformer to boot. Older audiences may find Sackboy: A Big Adventure a bit on the easier side of 3D platformers, but the challenge of hunting down every collectible bauble or pop reference scattered throughout the world will ensure players get their money’s worth in this family-friendly adventure.”

Meet Your Maker

From a previous Wccftech story – “Meet Your Maker is all about building and raiding, as players will be able to create their own blocky dungeon-like outposts in order to mine precious “pure genetic material.” Ah, but once you’ve created an outpost, other players can try to best your trap-and-mutant-filled challenges in order to steal your genetic material. Basically, Mario Maker meet Minecraft, with a little bit of Doom mixed in.”

Tails of Iron

Official description – “Tails of Iron is an epic RPG Adventure with punishingly brutal combat. As Redgi, heir to the throne, you must embark on a perilous quest to reclaim your Kingdom. Explore a deceivingly charming world. Assemble a band of brave companions. Banish the merciless Frog clan!”

Sony now offers three tiers of PS Plus – Essential for $10 a month, Extra for $15 a month, and Premium for $18 a month. You can explore the games available via each tier and sign up here.

Assuming the leakers have come through again (and there’s no reason to think they haven’t) what do you think about April’s PS Plus Essential lineup?
