Acer has launched Swift 5 and Swift 3 laptops with the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processor. The duo comes with a 14-inch touch screen and up to 10 hours of battery life. Acer Swift 5 is a premium laptop, said to be designed for professionals. Acer Swift 3, on the other hand, is said to fit in both casual and work profiles.
Acer Swift 5 and Acer Swift 3 price, availability
Acer Swift 5 (SF514-56T) comes with a starting price of EUR 1,799 (approx. Rs 1,51,800) in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. It will be available in China from April at a starting price of CNY 9,999 (approx. Rs 1,19,000).
Acer Swift 3 (SF314-512), on the other hand, comes with a price tag of EUR 1,199 (approx. Rs 1,01,200) in the EMEA region. It will go on sale in China in April. Price of the laptop in China will start at CNY 5,499 (approx. Rs 65,500).
Acer Swift 5 specifications
Acer Swift 5 comes with a 14-inch WQXGA touch screen with 2,560×1,600 pixels resolution. The display has a 92.22 per cent screen-to-body ratio and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The laptop comes powered with up to 12-core 12th Gen Intel Core processors, along with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics. It will be offered with up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, paired with up to 16GB of dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM.
The laptop’s touchpad comes with Microsoft Precision Touchpad certification and supports multi-finger gestures. Power button of the device is mounted with a fingerprint reader. The laptop is equipped with a full HD MIPI webcam with Acer’s Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) technology that is claimed to offer high-quality video.
Acer Swift 5 has a backlit keyboard with an air inlet design. The device features an upgraded TwinAir dual-fan system and D6 heat pipes for thermal efficiency. The laptop is claimed to offer up to 10 hours of battery and comes with Wi-Fi 6E, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for connectivity.
Acer Swift 3 specifications
Acer Swift 3 comes with similar features as those of Acer Swift 5. It has a 14-inch full-HD or a QHD touch screen with aspect ratio of 16:9. It is equipped with a 12th Gen Intel Core processor and packs up to 2TB of SSD storage.
Connectivity options available on the laptop are Wi-Fi 6E, USB Type-C, USB Type-A as well as HDMI 2.1 ports. Other features include full-HD webcam with Acer’s TNR technology, DTS Audio speakers and TwinAir dual-fan cooling system. It comes with fast-charging support and is claimed to last up to 4 hours.
