Adani Group, Dream 11, Balrampur Cheeni Mill to sponsor Syed Modi India International Championship 2022 in Lucknow

Conglomerate Adani Group, gaming unicorn Dream 11 and Balrampur Cheeni Mills have come on board as sponsors for the ongoing Syed Modi India International Championship 2022 being held at the Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy in Lucknow, providing a boost towards developing the game in UP.

The tournament witnessed participation by top international badminton players like PV Sindhu, Evgeniya Kosetskaya, Sourabh Verma, HS Prannoy, among others.

“Sports has suffered immensely due to Covid-19 and thankfully now, things are improving and players are getting an opportunity to play. We are ensuring a safe and protected environment for them to play. Uttar Pradesh is growing as a hub of sports and now that the state has adopted badminton and wrestling there is a long way to go,” Navneet Sehgal, IAS, President of the UP Badminton Association said.

“As a sports engagement platform, it is our constant endeavor to support the growth & development of sports in the state and our support towards the Syed Modi International Tournament 2022 is a significant move in that direction. We look forward to further collaborating and supporting the UP Govt,” Kiran Vivekananda, chief policy officer, Dream Sports and head, Dream Sports Foundation said.
