Adele has been forced to delay the start of her Las Vegas residency after COVID-19 cases in her team delayed her preparations.

After months of silence and days of rumors, Adele has finally announced plans for her Las Vegas residency.
Her Weekends With Adele shows were abruptly postponed the day before they were scheduled to kick off in January. The residency will now commence Nov. 18 with dates through March 25.
The shows will be held in their original location of The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
In a statement on her website, Adele wrote, “After what feels like an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever!”
In addition to the 24 rescheduled concerts, eight new dates have been announced.
Adele’s relatability: Fans love the singer’s sincerity
Ticket sales are set to start Aug. 10, with priority given to those who held tickets to the original show dates or had previously registered or been waitlisted for the Weekends With Adele verified fan presale on Ticketmaster.
Adele nixed her original residency at the eleventh hour in a tearful Instagram post, in which she blamed COVID-related supply chain issues and general unhappiness with the show in its then-current form.
For months, fans – many of whom purchased tickets via third-party sellers and have been unable to receive refunds until new dates or a cancellation was announced – waited for news from the singer, who made vague remarks about the status of the residency on “The Graham Norton Show” in February and at her recent concert at Hyde Park in London.
‘Brutal backlash’: Adele talks about postponing Vegas residency
Earlier this month, Adele told BBC Radio 4 in England that she realizes some fans were upset with the delay, but she doesn’t regret her decision to retool the show.
The “Easy on Me” singer acknowledged as much in her current statement, saying, “For some of you it was a horrible decision on my part, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the right one. To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to and I’m going to give you the absolute best of me.”
