Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was a well-known face as a model in the 1990s before becoming a true blue Bollywood star. Three decades later, a copy of her modeling invoice has surfaced on the internet, and fans have a lot to say about it.

According to the contract, which was signed on May 23, 1992, the actress was paid Rs 1,500 for a magazine shoot. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was “about 18” at the time, agreed to work as a model for a magazine catalogue shoot for a company called Krupa Kreations. The single-page contract, signed in Mumbai, bears the actress’ signature.

A user shared the contract along with the caption, “Aishwarya Rai got paid Rs 1,500 for one day’s work in 1992. I wasn’t even born then!”

One Redditor acknowledged that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was always a star, saying, “In 1992 my father’s income was Rs 8,000 per month which was sufficient to run our house of 5. This is massive money for a day’s work for an 18-year-old.”

Another user mentioned, “One day? My father was working for a month for this.”

After the contract went viral, photographer Vimal Upadhayay shared images from a vintage photoshoot featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on social media. Sonali Bendre, Niki Aneja, and Tejaswini Kolhapure also appear in the photographs.

Along with a series of photos taken for a magazine catalogue featuring salwar kameez looks, Upadhayay wrote on Tuesday, “Hello, yesterday I celebrated the 30th anniversary of the fashion catalogue published by me. Aishwarya Rai, Sonali Bendre, Niki Aneja, and Tejaswini Kolhapure were few of the models posed for this catalogue.”
