Akshay Kumar comments on RRR impacting the box-office collections of Bachchhan Paandey

Akshay Kumar is all set to have his film Bachchhan Paandey released this Friday. The film also features Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Arshad Warsi. Recently the actor commented on how he believes the release of RRR will impact Bachchhan Paandey’s box office collections.

Recently while speaking to a leading daily, he shared how because of the ongoing pandemic for the last two years, there have been a lot of box-office clashes because of film postponements. Films have also been released with just 50% occupancy which has also impacted the collections. However, he takes it in his stride and comments that one has to deal with it.

Two of his films that released with just about 50% occupancy at the theatres are Bell Bottom and Sooryavanshi. The latter film was one of the biggest Diwali blockbusters at the box office which was directed by Rohit Shetty and also had Katrina Kaif in the lead.

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is releasing on March 25, one week from Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey which is releasing on March 18.
