Alex Scott’s BBC colleague says ‘you’ll get me in trouble’ on last day | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV
BBC Sport pundit Alex Scott took to Instagram yesterday to commemorate her colleague’s last day on work placement.
The former Arsenal footballer introduced Tai, who had been at the BBC to learn the ropes as a student.
Speaking to the budding broadcaster behind-the-scenes of Football Focus, host Alex said in a video: “Everyone, this is Tai’s last day on work placement.
“Tai, how are you feeling?”
He smiled and replied: “I’m alright, I’ve had a great time and everyone’s been really nice to me.”

Alex was keen to get an answer about Tai’s best experience during his placement.
She quizzed: “What’s been your best show that you’ve worked on?
“Football Focus, yeah?” Alex giggled, before Tai grinned and said: “Yeah.”
Celebrating her victory, Alex cheekily exclaimed: “Wahey!”
However, Tai was left worrying that his admission would offend any of the other BBC shows he had worked on.
“You’re going to get me in trouble!” He chuckled.
Alex continued to film Tai’s last day to show her 1.7 million followers.
While sitting on the show’s famous sofa in front of a green screen, Alex wanted to check Tai was still on the ball.
She quizzed while watching herself back on the monitor: “What time, Tai?”
Clearly caught off-guard, Tai grimaced, before Alex teased: “You don’t even know!
“You’re not even listening! That is poor from you.
“You don’t even know what time! 12 o’clock,” she revealed, putting her colleague out of his misery.
It comes shortly after Alex returned to Football Focus after pulling out of hosting the BBC show in solidarity with colleague Gary Lineker.
Alex made the decision last month after the Match of the Day host was suspended by the broadcaster after he refused to apologise for his tweets condemning the Tories for their controversial bill on migrants.
BBC Sport stars Ian Wright and Alan Shearer joined Alex in pulling out of their respective shows, alongside Micah Richards, Jermaine Jenas and Mark Chapman.
Gary has since been reinstated as Match of the Day host after BBC Director General Tim Davie apologised in a statement that read: “Everyone recognises this has been a difficult period for staff, contributors, presenters and, most importantly, our audiences.
“I apologise for this. The potential confusion caused by the grey areas of the BBC’s social media guidance that was introduced in 2020 is recognised. I want to get matters resolved and our sport content back on air.”
