Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is all set to have a world premiere at the 72nd Berlin Film Festival. On Tuesday, she left for Germany with her sister Shaheen. Alia shared several pictures on her social media along with a sneak peek into the Red Carpet at the festival.
Alia also shared pictures of her own in which she looked stunning as she donned a white off-shoulder gown. She captioned the post as, “Berlin, baby!” She also shared pictures from the Red carpet scenes and wrote, “Meet me at the Berlinale Red Carpet with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 8pm on February 16.”
Earlier, on Twitter, Alia had announced that the film will premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. She wrote, “So grateful to be part of a wonderful team that now celebrates its official selection to the #BerlinFilmFestival2022. See you on 18th February, 2022.” The film will be premiered in the Berlinale Special Gala section.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is an adaptation of one of the chapters of Hussain Zaidi’s book, “Mafia Queens of Mumbai”. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz and Jim Sarbh. It will be released in theatres on February 25.
