The Government of India (GoI) is currently on a mission to take the country to new heights on the global platform. During the Union Budget of 2022, we saw how it invested in developing the audio-visual, gaming and comics industries with plans of setting up the AVGC Task Force. The government shared a vision to “capture 5% (~$40 billion) of the global market share by the year 2025”, thus enhancing the global positioning of India with the AVGC industry.

GOI also seems to be on a bid to introduce the talented Indian work force to the world. This requires the country to adapt accordingly to dynamic and changing times. At the same time, the need for preserving the existing cultural and historical heritage also rises to the top. The latest effort in this direction is the two-part documentary, Dharohar Bharat Ki, a walk through the history revisiting the past of the country.

About “Dharohar Bharat Ki”

Broadcasting giant Doordarshan National is behind the creation of the documentary to bring alive “the thousands of years old civilization”. Taking us through this journey will be none other than Curly Tales Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Kamya Jani. “Dharohar Bharat Ki- Punruthaan Ki Kahaani” will also highlight how the ‘new India’, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is trying to preserve this rich past, and resurrect it for the world to see.

As stated by PM Narendra Modi, this documentary is “a tribute to our heritage, our freedom fighters who sacrificed their all to secure our Independence and the valour of those who serve in uniform.”

PM Narendra Modi tweets about “Dharohar Bharat Ki”
