Amazfit launches new smartwatches ‘GTR 4’ and ‘GTS 4’

At the IFA event, Amazfit has expanded its wearables portfolio with the announcement of the GTR 4 and GTS 4 smartwatches as the successors to its last year’s models. The company hasn’t released any Pro models in the GTR series like last year. Amazfit has claimed that these smartwatches come with improved GPS positioning. They offer over 150 sports modes and feature Bluetooth calling and standalone music playback.
Pricing and availability
The Amazfit GTR 4 and the Amazfit GTS 4 are each priced at $199.99 (Rs. 15,970 approx.). Both the wearables are already available for purchase in the US and will be made available globally soon.

Amazfit GTR 4: Features and specifications
The Amazfit GTR 4 boasts a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with tempered glass, an anti-fingerprint coating and an anti-glare bezel. The smartwatch is backed by a battery capacity of 475mAh, which is said to offer up to 14 days of battery life and up to 24 days of battery life in battery saver mode. Amazfit says that the watch could go on for up to 25 hours of continuous GPS use in accuracy mode and up to 44 hours in balanced mode.

Amazfit GTS 4: Features and specifications
The Amazfit GTS 4 features a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with tempered glass and an anti-fingerprint coating. The wearable packs a 300mAh battery, which is claimed to give a battery life of up to 8 days and up to 16 days in battery saver mode. The company claims that the battery life can be prolonged to up to 16 hours of continuous GPS use in accuracy mode, and even up to 28 hours in balanced mode.

Common features of Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4
Both the smartwatches run the Zepp OS 2.0 with support for Android 7.0 and above, iOS 12.0 and above. They come with more than 150 sports modes and automatic recognition for 15 strength training exercises at launch, along with eight sports movements.
Both wearables have an in-built BioTracker 4.0 PPG biometric sensor (supports blood-oxygen, 4PD + 2LED), acceleration sensor, gyroscope sensor, geomagnetic sensor, barometric altimeter, and ambient light sensor. They are 5 ATM-rated for water resistance. They house 2.3GB of built-in storage for offline music playback. Both the Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 come with a microphone and a speaker for Bluetooth calling, offline voice assistant, and Alexa. Their connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz), dual-band GPS and 6 satellite positioning systems.
