Android Q Beta 5 Rollout Paused Due to Installation Issues

0

Android Q Beta 5 was released yesterday by Google and soon after its release, the company has to stop the rollout of this update due to some major installation issues. The update was released for Google’s own Pixel Phones.

To set the stage for the new Android Platform on the devices, this update comes with the latest Android APIs and SDKs. Additionally, the update also brings new gesture navigation and a host of other extraordinary features. Today, the Search Giant has officially paused this rollout for Pixel devices.

As per Google’s official statement, they are aware of an issue related to installing an update. The search giant is currently investigating this issue and for that reason, the rollout of Android Q Beta 5 is temporarily paused. Sadly, this known issue is not yet declared by Google and they have shared a little information about this issue only.

Android Q Beta 5 was released for all Pixel devices which includes Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. It was also released for the latest Pixel devices i.e. Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.

Google has released Android Q Beta update as an OTA update for Pixel devices. Users of Pixel phones who are enrolled to Android Q Beta Programme received this update already. Interestingly, Google also released system images for this latest Android Q Beta 5 to install the update manually on the respective devices.

Today, the search giant has officially updated the Changelog and the latest Beta is carrying a version number QPP5.190530.014.

The latest build of Android Q’s Gesture Control may not support the third-party launchers. To make use of their innovative and updated Gesture, users have to use the default launcher of their respective Pixel phones.

However, Google said that in the coming days, they will start supporting third-party launchers on their devices. So yes, we hope to use the new Gesture Control on Google’s latest Android Q OS from third-parties.

With just less than a month of its scheduled launch, Google is experiencing such known issues with their OS. We hope the search giant will fix all such bugs and issues ahead of its official launch.
