The latest update to Apex Legends which arrived on June 21 in the form of The Awakening Collection Event has not been reportedly kind to the Xbox consoles. The huge update has actually caused the controller support in the Xbox consoles to break down for the battle royale game, as per a report by The Verge.
As per the report, after the update, the controls for Apex Legends on Xbox “have become slow, laggy, and frequently unresponsive. Even worse, simply playing the game can make your control inputs feel altered even in the dashboard and while using other games; restarting the console seems to fix this issue.”
Xbox Series X console players, especially those using any of Microsoft’s Elite gamepads, have reportedly been hit the hardest. The report describes the issue as a “combination of lag, as well as failed input detection that can make it hard to do things like use burst fire weapons, change directions, or even pick up items from the ground.”
Respawn has taken heed of the issue and the game developer recently issued a statement on Twitter, saying that it is investigating the matter. But it did not give a timeline for a fix yet.

The Awakening Collection Event added a new building called Lifeline’s Clinic and also brought back the Control mode with new features.A new set of 24-themed, limited-time cosmetics were also a part of the update among other things.
