It’s been less than a year since EA dropped the mobile version of its hit Battle Royale title, Apex Legends.

Following the success of Respawn’s marquee title on consoles and PC, EA looked upon expanding the game’s reach with its launch on mobile devices. And the company succeeded massively, as it gained widespread reception from players around the world.

Recently, the game was pitted against formidable mobile titles as nominations for Google Play Store Users’ Choice Game 2022.

With stiff competition from games like Diablo Immortal, Disney Mirrorverse and Rocket League Sideswipe, EA’s Battle Royale title came out on top, as Android users voted Apex Legends Mobile as the Best Users’ Choice Game.

When it came to the Best Apps of 2022, the Google Play Editorial team selected Dream by Wombo, the popular AI art generator. Similarly, users selected viral social media platform BeReal.

When it comes to the other categories in the video game department, Farlight’s Dislyte won the title of Best Multiplayer Game in 2022. In the Indie and Pick Up & Play categories, Dicey Dungeons and Angry Birds Journey won, respectively.

Genshin Impact was revealed to be the Best Ongoing Game on Google Play Store in 2022
