Apple AR Glasses Reported Called Off, Unconfirmed Reports Suggested

DigiTimes released a report confirming that Apple has terminated the “Apple AR Glasses” project. Apple Glasses is Apple’s widely rumored AR-based glasses. We have heard a lot about Apple’s rumored Augmented Reality device. And today’s report suggests that the giant has already terminated their plans.

There were sources claiming that Apple has officially shut down their project AR-Glasses. Rumors were suggesting that the company may launch its first Augmented Reality Glasses by the year 2020. However, it will not happen as the AR-Glasses project is terminated claimed by multiple sources.

If we talk about the sources who have claimed this operation’s termination, Bloomberg, CNET, DigiTimes and many other sources are there.

This was indeed Apple’s major hardware project and millions of Apple Fanboys were eagerly waiting to see how Apple will design these Glasses. This is unconfirmed news as there are no official confirmations made by Apple regarding this project as of now. What we know here is the Publication has just released this news on their website. And many other popular tech-blogs have confirmed it.

DigiTimes has a good track record of Apple’s hardware supply chain and they have been publishing only legit news on their website. They deliver mostly positive records. Since Apple has not spoken anything on this project to date, so we may not hear anything from Apple on this project in the coming days.

If we talk about the past rumors, there were rumors about Apple’s new AR-Glasses that would be running on a new OS named rOS. Just like Apple’s watchOS, people were hoping a completely different platform for this AR-Glasses i.e. rOS. Earlier, there were reports suggesting Apple could launch this AR-Glasses with a combined box. However, later some blogs had confirmed that the AR-Glasses will be integrated with iPhone and iPad devices.
