Apple Music Classical app was supposed to start rolling out to all iPhone users on March 28 and based on the timezone, the app arrived early in some regions like Asian countries, Australia, etc the app started rolling out early. Now, the app is available to all users across the globe and can be downloaded via Apple App Store.
Apple Music Classical app is now available
Apple announced the new standalone Apple Music Classical app, aimed at offering latest and greatest classic hits of all times via a dedicated app with all the goodness of Apple Music such as high-res audio, Lossless support and more.
The app went on pre-order soon after the announcement and users who have pre-registered for the app have started receiving the notification on their iPhone.
The app is based on Primephonic, a classical music streaming service acquired by Apple back in 2021.
Apple Music Classical app, according to Apple, brings hundreds of curated playlists, exclusive albums. Apple claims that the app has the largest catalog with over 5 million classical music tracks and it includes both new releases to celebrated masterpieces.
Furthermore, there will be insightful composer biographies, deep-dive guides for many key works, intuitive browsing features and much more.
The app will also offer users the option to search by work, composer, conductor and even catalog number. The Classical music app offers up to 192 kHz/24 bit Hi-Res Lossless audio with thousands of recordings in immersive spatial audio.
How to get started with Apple Music Classical
Apple Music Classical app is currently available on iPhone, an Android version will be available in future. Also, the iPhone must be running iOS 15.4 or later. In addition, the app is free to download and also free-to-listed with Apple Music subscription. Users won’t need to buy a separate subscription to use the Classical app.
To download Apple Music Classical, head to Apple App Store and search for Apple Music Classical app. From the search result, tap on the Apple Music Classical app and hit the Get button on the next screen.
Authenticate the download either by entering the Apple account password or Face ID to initiate the download process.
Once the app is downloaded, open it and start listening if you already have the Apple Music or Apple One subscription.
