Apple has finally held its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose on Monday and announced a bunch of new hardware and services. Among many other hardware and services, Apple has announced WatchOS 6 and has updated its tvOS. Let’s take a deep look both of these OS build by Apple.

Last month, Apple announced its revamped Apple TV app. Now, after a month, Apple has made some changes to its Apple TV streaming box, tvOS which includes some new features and software to increase its functionality.

Tim Cook announced a completely redesigned home screen with richer, full-screen content previews. However, the biggest change that is going to be made in the Apple tvOS is the addition of multi-user support. This leads to personalized recommendations for everyone in your home for both the Apple TV app and Apple Music. From the gaming perspective, tvOS 13 will also add support for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 game controllers. As of now, it only supports Bluetooth controllers; however, on popular demand both of these biggest controllers are added in the tvOS 13 as the majority of people are most familiar with these gamepads.

Apart from this, most of the features and functionality are the same as it before launched last month. However, whatever changes have been made are worth changes to consider. All of these changes will be brought by the company this fall.

Apple has also announced the latest version of its smartwatch software platform, watchOS 6. However, the tech giant doesn’t drastically change things from prior versions in its watchOS instead, some fine refinements have been made in it.

First and the foremost change that has been made in the watchOS is the addition of a variety of new watchfaces. This includes a bunch of existing watchfaces which were announced at with the first version of watchOS. However, in addition to the existing one, there are a couple of new faces added with some more details added to the screen.

Apple is also bringing more apps to the wearable, including a calculator, audiobooks, and voice memos. Apps will now be able to run locally on the watch without pairing it with the companion app installed on an iPhone.

Apple watchOS 6 is also getting its new App Store which let you browse, pay for, and download apps directly on the watch itself. Apple says you’ll also be able to download software updates to the watch itself.

As expected, Apple is also expanding the health features in watchOS 6 with more activity information and ways to monitor your hearing health in noisy environments. Apple is also adding menstrual cycle tracking, which will let women monitor their cycle and get notifications on their fertility windows. This feature will also be added to the iPhone which can work independently without the need of Apple Watch.

watchOS 6 is being released to developers this week and will see a public launch this fall. It will be available on all Apple Watch models starting from the Series 1 to the latest models, but Apple says that not all features will come to all versions.
