Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Playing Greek God Zeus in a Mystery Project, Could Be Disney+ Percy Jackson Spinoff

Former California Governor and Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, recently surprised fan with an Instagram post that teased his look as the mighty Greek God in Zeus.

Sporting a long grey beard and hair, the Austrian-American actor looks quite buff with the armor he wore for the photo, which looked extra cool because of the lightning effects.

However, fans are perplexed as no one knows why Schwarzenegger has teased about playing Zeus. Other than a February 2022 tease, the Hollywood star has disclosed no other information about his new look as the Greek God of the Sky.

This has caused fans to speculate about Schwarzenegger appearing in an upcoming TV show or a movie as the Greek God. One of the top theories that has been making some rounds on the internet revolved around his rumored appearance in the upcoming Disney+ Percy Jackson and the Olympians show.

The Rick Riordan novel series first received a movie adaptation with Logan Lerman playing the titular character. Following the success of the first movie which was released in 2010, the sequel in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, arrived in 2013.

A third film based on Titan’s Curse was in the works, however, it never made it to production, and since then fans have waited a long time for Riordan’s stories to come alive again.

In late 2019, Riordan revealed that he was talking to Disney about a possible live-action adaptation. Earlier this week, the author confirmed that the series will be adapted into a Disney+ show with the Lightning Thief serving as the plot for the first season.

The production will begin later this year, and the showrunners are currently on the hunt for the show’s cast, and Arnold’s recent tease might be a hint for his potential appearance in the Disney+ show.

While Schwarzenegger’s role in the show is currently speculation, fans will be pretty excited to see him play the King of Olympus. With Rick Riordan and his fandom hyping up the show, Disney will have a lot of hopes riding on it, and Arnold might just be the Greek God that everyone wants to see.
