Asus Raikiri Pro Xbox Controller May Soon Be the Newest Device Running Doom Thanks to Its Standout Feature
Over the past few years, several gaming fanatics have enthusiastically taken up the challenge to port the hit 1993 FPS title, Doom on wacky devices.
The gold standard of the FPS genre has long been a fan-favorite in the gaming community, due to its innovative features like 3D gameplay. While the title originally dropped for the MS-DOS, with PlayStation and the SNES following suit in 1995, fans are now trying their hardest to port the games on any electronic gadget possible.
Some of the weird choices for fans of the series include iPod Mini, a microwave oven, the entertainment system of a Ford Focus, and even software like text-based terminal and Minecraft. And we soon might hear news about another addition to this intriguing list in Asus’ new Raikiri Pro controller.

At CES 2023, ASUS debuted several new gaming peripherals, as part of its ROG lineup. This includes the new Raikiri Pro, which is the first ever Xbox licensed tri-mode connectivity controller, with users having the opportunity to connect via Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz RF, or wired USB-C. Along with the new Xbox consoles, the Raikiri Pro is a must have for PC gamers, who are looking for controller options.
While it comes with a plethora of new features that improve your gaming experience, its pivotal addition is a built-in OLED display, which can be “used to show custom images, text, or animations, plus it can also show charging status, mic mute, or profile indicators.” And if the right minds can get access to the Raikiri Pro, then they can port Doom for players to experience it on the controller itself.
With Doom running on the OLED display, fans can enjoy using the controller as a portable handheld console. And while you wait for your favorite console games to load, spend some time slaying demons.
