Players from both Australia and the West Indies took a knee in honour of the Black Lives Matter movement ahead of the first ball of the first Test in Perth.
The Aussie white-ball teams have made the gesture previously but this is the first time the Test team has done so.
While the two Aussie openers took a knee, the West Indies did also and raised a fist.

”Fantastic to see the Australians supporting West Indies by taking a knee,” Adam Gilchrist said on Fox Cricket.
Ahead of the Test, captain Pat Cummins said it was important for sports stars to make a stand.
“I think in this position you’re always going to upset people, whether you do something or you don’t do something,” Cummins said.
“I know what I signed up for. I also think we’re cricket players, but you can’t leave your values at the door. People stand for different things.
“Something like taking a knee this week, we’re doing it out of respect for the West Indies in support of equality.
“Anyone who says that’s a bad thing, I’m not too bothered about.”
