Avowed is one of the most anticipated Xbox exclusives, and it might bring one feature that Red Dead Redemption fans have been quite eager to use.
It’s been quite a mixed bag for Xbox fans this year, as they were greeted with the massive Acitivison acquisition news earlier this year only to be disappointed later with the delay of Starfield and Redfall. While this year looks quite slow for Xbox fans, Microsoft will be organizing its E3-styled showcase event pretty soon. As per reports, it could feature some interesting announcements, including a Gears of War Master Chief Collection-type remaster which is already one of the most hyped things in the community at the moment.

One of the games fans are eagerly waiting to get a glimpse of in the showcase is Avowed. An interesting detail has surfaced about Avowed, courtesy of Jez Corden from the Defining Duke Podcast. According to him, Avowed could be featuring some firearms, although it will not be something like machine guns. Instead, players will be getting to use muskets in the game. This is one of the most asked features in Red Dead Redemption, and many would be excited to see muskets in Avowed.
There have been theories that Avowed would be based on several centuries before the events in the Pillars of Eternity universe. However, considering that the Pillar of Eternity games have muskets as well, it is safe to say that the game will be based on the same time period as well. With just a few days to go for the Xbox showcase, we should be seeing more of Avowed pretty soon.
