Farmer Fred Collins, who appeared on series six of The Farmer’s Country Showdown, has been suffering from life-changing injuries which could impact his farming career after a freak accident involving his tractor.
The dairy farmer was simply undertaking his daily chores and had attempted to change the tyre on his tractor.
However, the jack then failed and Fred’s arm became trapped underneath.
According to loved ones, the farmer’s arm was trapped for “a considerable time”.
At the moment, the BBC star does not know the full extent of his injuries, but doctors have warned he could be left with just 20 per cent of his arm fully functioning.

Fred’s injury will also impact his wife Kimmy and their daughters Izzy and Nancy, who live on the Dairy Shorthorn farm in Honiton, Devon.
To help the family at this difficult time, loved ones have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money.
Fundraiser organiser, Julia Giles, wrote: “This is terrible news for Fred, Kimmy and the girls.
“If any of you watched the BBC One series The Farmers Country Showdown recently you will know how the family as a unit work so hard to make that farm work.
Victoria added: “Fight on and good luck.”
And Dale echoed: “Get fixed and kick on… best of luck. People like you deserve a bit of support at times like this… I know only too well! Best wishes to you and your family.”
So far, the fundraiser has raised £3,204.
Fred’s appearance on The Farmer’s Country Showdown was centred around his family’s life on the farm and saw him defend his championship title at the Mid-Somerset Show.
He is a sixth-generation farmer and does all the farm work himself in a bid to save money.
Particularly heart-warming scenes saw Fred’s pride as his 10-year-old daughter Izzy followed in his footsteps.
