The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has signed RuPay, the flagship product of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) as an official partner for the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the next two seasons.

RuPay will be paying approximately ₹140 crore over the two years, as per sources.

The official partner position had opened up this year after Tata Group, which was earlier an official partner, picked up the title sponsorship of the league, replacing Chinese smartphone maker Vivo.

Other official partners – Dream11, Unacademy, Cred and Upstox – have all agreed to extend their partnership till the next season at pro-rata basis for and annual pay out of roughly around Rs 57 crore, while Swiggy, which had come on board last year for a three year deal, will be paying close to Rs 67 crore per year.
