PlayStation Blog shared the final data for the most-downloaded games in 2021 through PSN, which could be translated into the best-selling PS4/PS5 games of 2021 for paid titles.
Similar to all other years, 2021 came with its surprises and disappointments in the gaming industry. Looking at the year from the financial view, probably the most-downloaded and best-selling charts should be the most interesting piece of data for gamers.

Best-Selling and Most-Downloaded PS4 and PS5 Game in 2021
The tables below showcase the most-downloaded game on each PlayStation platform. Clearly, PS5 has been dominated by sports titles, while the US players of PS4 show more interest in Grand Theft Auto V.
Also, Battlefield 2042’s placement among the top 5 in the PS5 chart shows the game has had a very big community at launch, though they now seem frustrated with the title and the lack of post-launch content.
