Bhagwati Products Ltd. becomes the first domestic company to receive funding from PLI scheme

Bhagwati Products Ltd. has been approved for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes for smartphones, IT hardware (tablets and laptops), and air-conditioner components. The company has invested in expanding its manufacturing facility and adding more surface mount technology lines in order to meet the rising demand from domestic and international brands. Bhagwati Products aims to make India a global manufacturing hub and increase employment in the sector through the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives.

We are amongst the very first Indian manufacturers in the sector and being the first to achieve this incentive under the PLI scheme is a key milestone in our journey. The company has two manufacturing facilities in India, in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, and Hyderabad, Telangana. The company’s current capacity is 2 million smartphones per month and 1 million LED TVs per month, and it is working to increase these capacities. Bhagwati Products also aims to expand the ecosystem and generate employment opportunities in the country through its partnerships with local companies and its commitment to the Atma Nirbhar Bharat initiative.”
