Biggest Game Launches in February 2022

2022 has just began, and with it comes new video game releases that fans have waited for.

After a quiet January which didn’t see a ton of hyped releases, February seems poised to be the opposite as it will include some of most long-awaited video games of the year.

Here are some of the titles we are most excited to play when they will release this month.

Elden Ring

Release date: February 25

The iconic collaboration between celebrated author George R.R. Martin and FromSoftware will finally come to fruition later this month with the release of Elden Ring.

Fans have waited a long time for this action-RPG title’s release following its announcement in 2019, and players are excited to see the new take on the genre by the developers of Dark Souls.

Horizon: Forbidden West

Release date: February 18

The sequel to the award-winning PlayStation title Horizon Zero Dawn will also release this month to continue the storyline of protagonist, Aloy.

Along with a ton of new gameplay and visual features, players will discover new threats, allies, factions and many more as she tries to stop the plague known as the Red Blight.

GRID Legends

Live-action cut-scenes meets racing gameplay in Codemasters' latest.

Release date: February 25

Racing fans have many reasons to be joyous as Codemasters will release their first GRID title in GRID Legends following the company’s acquisition by EA.

Along with cross-platform features, the game will also include a narrative-driven story mode called Driven to Glory which should quench the thirst of fans wanting a thrilling racing campaign.

Dying Light 2

Release date: February 4

After being announced in 2018, Techland will finally release the sequel to their hit open world zombie horror game.

With a new protagonist equipped with parkour skills, Dying Light 2 players will have to survive in a zombie infested world with their skills, and it sure promises to be fun and dangerous to explore.

Release date: February 8

Gaming fans have rarely had a chance to sink their teeth deep into martial arts on any video game. However, that’s all about to change with the release of Sloclap’s Sifu.

With an interesting concept behind character deaths, Sifu will feature some of the most fluid kung fu combat fans may have never seen before, and it’s definitely worth checking out.

Total War: Warhammer III

A delay for Cathay.

Release date: February 17

Sega’s iconic RTS franchise returns once again with Total War III: Warhammer. Set in the Realm of Chaos, the latest installment will see the rise of two new factions in Kislev and Cathay.

Other than that, developers have also introduced changes to the mechanics of Siege, and players will have a ton of content to explore in a vast campaign map full of things to do.

Life is Strange Remastered Collection

Release date: February 1

Square Enix will release a remastered collection involving the acclaimed DontNod franchise. The collection features both Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm.

Along with improved visuals involving the character models and visuals, the storyline will be played in a new engine with a lot of lighting improvements. Moreover, players will see some better performances from the characters, thanks to the new motion-captured lip-sync and facial animations.
