The former Sharks, Raiders, Roosters and Eels star spent 29 days in jail after allegedly being caught with cocaine in his possession at a Tokyo restaurant.

The 32-year-old is hoping to make a return to the NRL but clubs have shown no interest to date.

Ferguson is hoping good performances for Thirlmere will earn him another chance in the NRL.

He has been named at fullback against Picton on Sunday.
