Queen guitarist Sir Brian May, 75, has hinted the band is set to make a big announcement today, sparking speculation amongst his 3.1 million Instagram followers. The rocker also admitted he was feeling “emotional” as he rejoiced in his return to New York City.
Sir Brian shared an impressive picture of the view from his window with his Instagram followers, which showed the top of the Empire State Building.
Next to it he wrote: “There were times …. during lockdown …. When I thought I’d never again be able to visit such inspiring places as this.
“So now very thankful@to be again in the Big Apple … to meet press to make a QUEEN announcement – which should break in just a few hours … 8am EST, 12 noon British time.
“See ya here then !!! Call back ! Cheers folks – and thanks you good New Yorkers for making us so welcome once again. Bri,” he concluded. (sic)

Another snap showed a stunning view of the New York skyline, which Sir Brian captioned: “The stunning Manhattan skyline from my bedroom window in 3-D, cos I have to ! Bri.” (sic)
Finally, the star shared a nostalgia-fuelled video of his sunset drive through the Big Apple.
“In the NYC sunset – this is an emotional journey for me down a well-remembered lane,” he wrote.
“Hello New York !!! Bri.” (sic)
“I’m vibrating out of my seat in excitement for this big queen announcement,” all_thebeans gushed.
“I’m curious enough to check back at midday now,” added Cathy,
“American fans on QAL2 will be going mad! If there isn’t a transcript, I’ll be very surprised.”
Sir Brian achieved worldwide fame after co-founding the rock band Queen with drummer Roger Taylor and late lead singer Freddie Mercury.
