Britney Spears, 41, has finished her long-awaited memoir, with the book reportedly telling the “brutally honest” story of the singer’s turbulent life – and her heavily documented conservatorship.

According to Page Six, the book will be released in the fall, with insiders describing the manuscript as “inspiring” and a “ground-breaking best-seller”.

A source confirmed: “Britney’s book is a story of triumph. It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood – being a little girl with big dreams – her break-up with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship.” They added the book will be a “story of survival” after fighting for her legal freedom, and finding happiness with her husband, Sam Ashgari.

The publication claimed the Toxic hitmaker has been working with ghostwriter Sam Lanksy, an acclaimed novelist and journalist who has written for The Atlantic, New York Magazine and Time.

Lanksy has previously worked with and profiled stars including Madonna, Nicki Minaj and Adele. The source said: “Britney’s book is brutally honest and from the heart. No stone is left unturned. It’s truly a female empowerment story – taking control of her life.”

Britney landed a $15 million book deal sealed by Creative Artists Agency and her attorney Mathew Rosengart, making it one of the highest in history.

The news comes as Britney previously hinted on Instagram that she wanted the book to show her as a survivor.

She recently wrote on Instagram: “l’m in love with the life I have built for myself !!!

“I should be, it’s f****g beautiful … and it’s pretty crazy after all the hard work I’ve done in getting rid of my father’s abuse and controlling me, literally messing with my head after 13 years believe it or not people !!!

“Having this newfound independence gives me strength every day and the ability to stay hungry, focused, fearless, and honestly just be a good person.”

Revealing the book plans, Britney added: “I don’t have a family that values me or respects me …. AT ALL !!! “That’s the hard part for me and as much as I loved them, it’s something that I’ll probably never be able to get over.

“When I post in those moments, I just want to speak from my heart cause it’s extremely hard for me and then I look back and I see how many people say get over it … I’m working on becoming stronger.

“Psss I’ve written 3 different versions of my book and had LOTS of therapy through the process.” (sic)

In other news, Britney took to Instagram this week to reveal that she was left in tears after being body shamed by a personal trainer as she spoke about her body image.

The hitmaker added that she looked into getting a trainer in recent months, only to drop her after she criticised her figure.

She wrote: “By no means am I saying my body is perfect but I took the time 2 months ago to find a trainer and the first thing she did to me was literally … and I’m not even lying … pinch the skin on my stomach and legs and told me I need to get my younger body back.

“It made me cry … I obviously didn’t hire her so I did it myself !!!”
