Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, a comedy horror manga written by Haro Aso and illustrated by Kotaro Takata, is getting a TV anime adaptation set to air in July 2023.

The story is about a young salaryman named Akira Tendo, who is feeling burnt out by his job and unfulfilled in his personal life. And when a zombie outbreak hits Japan, Akira thinks of it as an opportunity to start over his life as the world is coming to an end around him. He no longer has to worry about going to work, and sets out on a mission to complete a bucket list of goals.

These goals include things such as confessing to his crush, partying hard, and travelling around the country. Along the way, Akira meets other survivors who join him on his journey and help him achieve his goals. Together, they face the challenges of living in a world overrun by zombies and try to find a way to survive and make the most of their time left.

In June 2022, Netflix announced that it picked up the manga for a live-action film adaptation on its streaming service.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead anime series will be directed by Kazuki Kawagoe with Hanako Ueda as assistant director. Hiroshi Seko will write the series composition, Kii Tanaka will adapt the character designs for the anime, with Junpei Fukuchi doing the zombie character designs. Makoto Miyazaki and Maiko Gouda will helm the music department.

Viz Media has licensed the anime for release in English. Hulu will stream the series in North America, with international streaming details yet to come.
