“Charles grew up to be quite a nervous man” as a result of his environment being quite shielded, the expert opined.
However, he improved and stopped displaying “nervous” gestures, often referred to as pacifiers or self-reassurance gestures, which are designed to calm you down.
One of King Charles’s self-reassurance tell-tale signs is “playing with his cufflinks”. Charles “would often do this at social events, which is a clear indication of nerves,” Darren explained.
He is also known to place his half hand inside his jacket in public, also “known as the hand tuck”, which is “a gesture of reassurance that everything is okay”.
