Kate Middleton’s younger brother James took to Instagram over the weekend with a picture from his 2021 wedding. The picture showed James hugging his mother Carole from behind as they posed for a picture.
James captioned the post saying: “You make my world go around. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there and especially to this one.”
It’s quite rare to see a candid picture of Carole relaxing when she’s not being photographed at a royal event.
Judi James, a professional body language expert, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk to analyse this “stunning pose”.
She claimed: “We don’t see a lot of tactile PDAs from the Middleton women, with Carole tending to confine hers to some subtle, nurturing gestures for Pippa.

“In addition, she uses a much more respectful look when she appears in public with Kate, tending to stand back with a look of pride but with her hands clasped in front of her torso.”
Judi argues that this “relaxed” pose between James and Carole goes to many lengths to show the strong relationship between the two.
She opined: “This stunning pose between Carole and her son James is totally relaxed and tactile as James’s choice to celebrate Mother’s Day.
“It is one where he is clearly showing his open affection and pride in her, with an ‘Isn’t my mum amazing?’ way, rather than the other way round.”
The body language expert suggested that the place where this picture was taken adds some sentimental value.
She continued: “It was taken at his wedding, which makes it even more poignant as he clearly wanted to show this bond while celebrating his marriage.”
The emotions on Carole’s and James’s faces were natural according to the expert, which helped show their close bond.
Judi added: “It’s a fun pose too, with James throwing his arms around his mother from behind.
