Chainsaw Man Finally Brings Back Denji In The Latest Chapter

0

Tatsuki Fujimoto returned with the much-awaited Part 2 of Chainsaw Man last month. However, the first few chapters of the second part didn’t turn out how fans expected. The entire fandom was hoping to see Denji in the initial chapters; however, the manga instead focused on the origin story of a new character, Asa Mitaka. Fortunately, the wait is now over, as Denji has finally made a powerful comeback in the manga series.

In Chapter 102 of Chainsaw Man – titled “Save the Cat” – we saw Mitaka and Yuko being chased down by the Bat Devil. Yuko suddenly falls to the ground after getting unconscious, and the War Devil confirms that it can’t take over Mitaka’s body just yet. However, the War Devil does offer one option that could save both of them. It asks Mitaka to kill Yuko and turn her into a weapon, but as expected, the girl decides to do the exact opposite.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

Mitaka carries Yuko in her arms and tries to escape the Bat Devil, but she trips and falls. After that, we learn that Mitaka once saved a cat amid a devil attack, but she lost her mother the same day. Mitaka still blames herself for letting her mother die that day. However, she knows that her heart is always in the right place, so she again picks up Yuko and starts running again.

The Bat Devil gets closer to Mitaka and Yuko, and it almost feels like their end is near. But surprisingly, we then see the devil falling to the ground after being attacked by the legendary Chainsaw Man from behind.

After that, we see the Cockroach Devil appearing on the spot to confront Denji for siding with the humans. The Cockroach Devil captures five old people and a high school boy. It then throws those people in different directions, giving Denji a choice to save the older people or the young kid with “a bright future.” Well, Denji decides to go after the devil instead of worrying about the victims (they die), and he eventually kills the enemy. Finally, we see Chainsaw Man holding a cat, who was caught up in the fight and was about to fall from a building.

Of course, everyone is excited to see Denji back in the story, but it’s shocking for some fans that Denji didn’t try to save the victims from the Cockroach Devil. Well, to be completely honest, Denji is a complicated and messed-up character who’s always hard to read.

Tatsuki Fujimoto also used cats to showcase the primary difference between Mitaka and Denji. On one side, Mitaka still blames herself for saving a cat instead of her mother all those years back, whereas Denji feels like a hero after saving a cat and doesn’t even flinch seeing six human beings die. As the local news said after the incident, “In yet another act of heroism, Chainsaw Man saved a cat from the Cockroach Devil.”
