Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has been forced to make a statement as fans are repeatedly door-stepping the star and asking for autographs at his Monaco home. The 25-year-old says that his address has been leaked to the public and has asked that supporters do not to arrive at his property.

The Ferrari driver has been forced to post a statement on his Instagram page about the situation. He said: “For the past few months, my home address has somehow become public, leading to people gathering beneath my apartment, ringing my doorbell, and asking for pictures and autographs.

“While I’m always happy to be there for you (fans) and I truly appreciate your support, please respect my privacy and refrain from coming to my house. I’ll make sure to stop for everyone when you see me on the streets or at the track, but I won’t be coming downstairs if you visit my home.

“Your support, both in person and on social media, means the world to me, but there is a boundary that should not be crossed. Happy Easter, everyone.”

Leclerc had a career-best second-placed finish in last year’s Drivers’ Championship winning three races and accumulating 11 podium positions. However, Ferrari have had a nightmare start to 2023 and Leclerc has picked up just six championship points from three races after a seventh-placed finish in Saudi Arabia.

The Monegasque driver spun off the racetrack into the gravel trap during the opening lap of last weekend’s Australian Grand Prix after crashing with Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll. With Ferrari in turmoil a swap transfer deal between Lewis Hamilton and Leclerc has been touted by Eddie Jordan.
