Young Indian Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa defeated compatriot and GM Vidit Gujrathi to book a spot in the quarter-finals of the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour Chessable Masters 2022 online tournament.
The win in the 15th and final round of the preliminaries late on Sunday saw the teenaged GM knock Gujrathi out of contention. Praggnanandhaa, 16, will take on Wei Yi of China in the quarter-finals.
