Comic Con India has announced that the comic-based convention is coming back to the subcontinent after a three-year hiatus. It will begin with Bangalore, as the ninth edition of the convention will be held on November 19 and 20.
Maruti Suzuki Arena Bengaluru Comic Con 2022 is powered by Meta in association with Crunchyroll. The anime streaming giant announced recently that it will be present at Comic India for the first time ever.
The event will see artists such as Jonathan Kunz (Co-creator of War and Peas), Yanick Paquette, Raymund Bermudez Brown Paperbag, Derek Domnic D’Souza, Md Faisal (Creator of Garbage Bin), Happy Fluff Comics, Awkwerrrd, Bakarmax, Indusverse Comics, Meta Desi, River Comics, Holy Cow Entertainment, Amar Chitra Katha, and Raj Comics.
Comic Con Bengaluru will also feature a 80,000 sq ft gaming arena which will have daily tournaments, Lan Esports Finals and meet-and-greet with India’s top gaming content creators. Along with this, Comic Con India will also see panels, workshops, and performances every half hour on the main stage all weekend.
Bengaluru attendees will also get to see booths for 20th Century Studios’ Avatar: The Way of Water, Marvel Studios’ Antman and The Wasp: Quantumania, Warner Bros Pictures’ Black Adam, and The Flash zones. Brands such as The Souled Store, Nerd Arena, Red Wolf, Maya Toys, Macmerise, The Comic Book Store, and Fat Cat Collectibles among others will be present to itch your merchandise needs.
Speaking on its comeback, Jatin Varma, Founder Comic Con India, said, “I am excited to finally welcome fans back to Comic Con in Bengaluru this time. Even though this will be the 9th edition of the event, we will also be ringing in a decade of being in the city! It’s been a long wait of over 2 years since the last edition. Comic Con Bengaluru will take place on November 19 and 20 at the KTPO Trade Centre, Industrial Area, Whitefield, Bangalore.
