It’s fair to say Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t pull any punches when discussing Manchester United in his fiery interview with Piers Morgan.
The Portugal star has certainly tainted his relationship with United after he criticised manager Erik ten Hag and the club in its entirety, saying that nothing had changed since his first stint between 2003-2009.
And for Ronaldo, the Portugal camp isn’t looking too rosy either.

His star United teammate Bruno Fernandes seemed to disregard Ronaldo entirely as the national squad gathered before the World Cup.
Players and staff are reportedly extremely disappointed with the comments made, and Fernandes’ body language towards his teammate said it all.
Claiming he was “betrayed” by the club, it’s becoming increasingly likely that Ronaldo has played his final game for the Red Devils.
With his relationship with the manager already in tatters, his interview tore it up even more, shutting down any possibility of reconciliation.
“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never going to have respect for you,” Ronaldo said.
Now, it seems he’s also lost respect from his peers and the fans.
In what will likely be his final World Cup, things are looking a lot bleaker than bright for Ronaldo with each passing week.
January will be an interesting period for the Portuguese veteran, where he will certainly be looking for an out. The question is: who would take him now?
