Crown Princess Mary wows in ‘fantastic’ Alexander McQueen jacket – ‘pop of red’

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended the celebrations on October 7 looking fabulous as ever. The royal was chic in head-to-toe black coupled with a red designer blazer.

The royal wore an Alexander McQueen fitted Crepe Jacket in Burgundy, currently retailed at Selfridges for £1,370.

The official Selfridges website reads: “Alexander McQueen’s blazer has been precisely tailored in Italy from crepe in a slim silhouette with a nipped-in waist.

“Turn the lapels into a plunging neckline by wearing the button fastened and nothing but a lace bra underneath.”

The blazer was perfect for highlighting the Crown Princess’ enviable figure.

It boasted a sharp silhouette with defined lapels and padded shoulder.

It had a single button in the centre but the royal opted to wear it undone for a more relaxed look.

Slanted flap pockets on either side worked to sculpt the Princess’ waist and highlight her curves.

According to Net-a-Porter, Alexander McQueen’s “extraordinary heritage is defined by emotional power and raw energy”.

DON’T MISS

This was the only pop of colour in the Crown Princess’ latest look, with the royal pairing her dynamic blazer with a black turtle-neck jumper and black, floor-length trousers.

She also appeared to accessorise the look with a pair of shiny, black pointed-toe pumps.

As for her hair, Crown Princess Mary opted for a neat, chic ponytail with a centre parting.

Her makeup look included dark eyes and pale pink lipstick, with a touch of blush on the cheeks.

“Love the monochromatic black underneath with that pop of red. The colour looks amazing on her.”

She continued: “Love the wide-leg trousers. She looks impeccable, oh and I love the ponytail.”

@luxmeagainpreloved added: “Mary looks fantastic. The red jacket is tailoring perfection. I hope she has the red trousers, too.”

@ale_campos_gua called the jacket “divine”, while @ellainthecityboston said it was a “great colour”.
