The weeks of waiting continue for Dead Space fans with the long-awaited remake of the iconic horror title.
While fans continue to wait for the game’s release, the developers at EA Motive recently gave fans what they were looking for, as the studio unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming release.
The trailer showcases the all-improved USG Ishimura on the planet Aegis VII, which looks creepier than ever. The game thrusts players into the shoes of Isaac Clarke, who has been tasked with repairing the USG Ishimura.
Set in the much more futuristic year of 2508, the Dead Space world sees humans colonizing other planets using ships called Planetcrackers. In the game, Clarke tries to find the truth about the disappearance of his girlfriend, Nicole Brennan, who was aboard the USG Ishimura as the senior medical officer. Along with Brennan, several other members of the crew have been missing as well.
Many of the crew members have also been affected by the Red Marker present on Aegis VII, a virus-like alien organism that turns infected corpses into undead creatures called Necromorphs.
As Clarke begins to solve the puzzle behind the mystery surrounding his girlfriend and the rest of the crew on the USG Ishimura, he will need to tackle the problems caused by the Necromorphs. These undead creatures are quite scary, and they will be ready to spook you at any time.
With the developers promising an uncut one-shot experience with the remake, the thrills will be continuous for players when the Dead Space remake drops on January 27, 2023.
