Deadpool 3 With a Returning Hugh Jackman As Wolverine Confirmed To Release on September 6, 2024

While D23 2022 had its fair share of reveals and announcements, Marvel fans were quite miffed about not seeing any updates on the Ryan Reynolds-starrer Deadpool 3.

The Merc with the Mouth is all set to make his MCU debut in the upcoming film directed by Free Guy director, Shawn Levy. While we didn’t get any announcements then, in a recent video posted on all major social media platforms, Reynolds shared some much-needed news about Deadpool 3.

The hilarious announcement video sees Reynolds preparing and “soul searching” to find ideas and concepts he can use for the film. Later on, once the training montage ends, the actor reveals that it didn’t lead to anything.

However, Reynolds shared that he does have one idea that he plans to use for the film, as he asked a walking Hugh Jackman in the background on whether he fancies suiting up as Wolverine once again to which the Australian actor replied affirmatively.

The clip ends with a rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love “Hugh”, as fans got to see the film’s first logo featuring Wolverine’s claw marks on Deadpool’s face. Furthermore, the release date of September 6, 2024 was also unveiled as well.

The September 2024 release date means the movie will arrive at the end of MCU’s Phase 5 and a couple of months before the start of Phase 6, which begins with the Fantastic Four film.

Over the years, Jackman and Reynolds have poked fun at each other on social media, and the two actors share a great bond. The characters last shared the screen together in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and unlike the previous time, Deadpool won’t have his mouth sewn shut.
